Online Profiles
Throughout your probationary teaching year, you should be gathering information and evidence to prove that you are meeting the Standard for Full Registration (SFR).
Teacher Induction Scheme probationers employed in local authority schools should compile this information and submit it in an Online Profile.
Your Online Profile profile is submitted in two stages:
- your Interim Profile charts your progress during August–December and is submitted in mid-December
- your Final Profile charts your progress during January–May and is submitted in late May.
How do I access my Online Profile?
You access the Online Profiles system by logging in to My GTCS , using the "LOG IN" button at the top right-hand corner of the website. More information is available on accessing your Online Profile for the first time.
How do I complete my Online Profile?
The following pages explain how to complete the seven sections of your Online Profile:

- Record of Observed Teaching
- CPD Record
- Key Strengths and Areas for Development
- Professional Development Action Plan
Don't forget to read the guidance notes at the top of each section of your Online Profile. You should also read the full Guidance documents available via the Guidance Notes section of your online profile.
Once you have completed all eight sections, please read the information on signing-off and submitting your Profile.
