Withdrawals
Some probationary teachers decide to withdraw from the Teacher Induction Scheme and either choose to follow the Flexible Route or leave teaching altogether.
In cases where probationary teachers have decided to withdraw from the Teacher Induction Scheme and follow the Flexible Route, they should speak to their local authority probation manager about making sure that the profile is completed as far as possible and that they discuss recognition of satisfactory service.
Once the local authority probation manager has received an official withdrawal notice, he/she will inform us of the withdrawal. Probationers who withdraw will be sent a letter showing the number of days' satisfactory service to be credited towards the 270 day requirement on the Flexible Route. Only satisfactory service can be transferred. If a probationer leaves between Review Points, a claim can be made for additional satisfactory service to be added.
